University and College Information Day - 1st March 2007

All Year 12 students will going to G-MEX in Manchester on Thursday 1 March for an information day about going to University or College.

All the main Universities and Colleges will be represented there and course prospectuses will be available for detailed information.

Transport to and from G-MEX will be provided and all students are expected to attend as it falls within the normal school day and timetable.

Sixth Form Parents' Evening - 1st March 2007

The Sixth Form Parents' Evening originally scheduled for January 2007 will now be held on Thursday 1st March 2007.

The meetings will take place in the the Sixth Form form 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Please inform your parents of these details.

Half Term

Half term will run from Monday 19 February to Friday 23 February 2007. Students return to college on Monday 26 Febuary 2007.

Hi There!

Welcome to the blog for all pupils in form 12M at WHS. I will be using this blog to keep you informed about all the things you should know about as students at WHS Sixth Form College.

Some key people in your form:

• Form Tutor: Mr. M. P. Jones (and Head of IT)
• Form 12M Representative: Faye Rothwell
• Deputy Head Girl: Anne Marie Booth

To start things rolling, just a few general things that should be part of your routine whilst at College:

• All students are required to register with their form tutors at 8:50am every morning. Mr Powell has asked that students should not leave registration unitil 9:10am.
• Attendance timetables signed by all your teachers are due in every Monday morning. You should also pick up the timetable for the next week at the same time.
• Year 12 Assembly is in the Sixth Form Area every Tuesday - 12M will register in the Sixth Form at the end of this assembly
• Unless you have a lesson, all Year 12 students are required to attend a tutorial period on Tuesdays during period 3.
